Chick Lit author adds MP to her resume

Best selling British chick litter Louise Bagshawe is writing a new chapter in her life story, this time as a Member of Parliament.

Mother of three, Bagshawe has won the Corby and East Northamptonshire seat for the Conservative Party in the closely fought British general elections on Thursday. Incumbent Phil Hope, who held a ministerial role in the Labour government, had held the seat for 13 years before being ousted by first timer Bagshawe.

She has written 14 novels so far, including Career Girls and Passion, selling over 2 million copies in the process.
