And..........take two...
This is my second attempt at this post; blogger decided to throw a tanty and not save the last one I did. *pout*
So...it's been a while between innings huh? Don't you just hate it when real life gets in the way of your literary one? But I envision that changing now the long lazy days of summer are here. I intend to spend lots of time catching a breeze, book in hand, on the deck of our new house in #ruralparadise.
In the meantime, I have for your reading pleasure my last two ever book reviews for The Nile. Yes I have hung up my official reviewing boots for now and am strictly reading for pleasure - no paperback pressure for this girl. That said, I am certain I will find myself compelled/annoyed/enchanted/spurred into writing my own reviews anyway; if I have an opinion I love to share it :P
So without further ado ... click here to read my review of The Queen of Palmyra by Minrose Gwin - a novel set in the heart of Civil Rights era America
And click here for my thoughts on the absolutely too cute/clever for words "Homer's Odyssey" by Gwen Cooper.
Cheerio for now
Kelly
