Going Rogue: An American Life - Sarah Palin

Back in November, wellreadkitty brought you news that then Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin had signed a rumoured US$7 million book deal.

It seems since Ms Palin quit as her state's governor she has been writing up a storm with news from her publisher Jonathan Burnham today the book is finished and will hit the shelves on November 17.

"Governor Palin has been unbelievably conscientious and hands-on at every stage, investing herself deeply and passionately in this project," he said. "It's her words, her life, and it's all there in full and fascinating detail."

Titled "Going Rogue: An American Life", it will have a massive first print run of 1.5 million copies - the same as Sen. Ted Kennedy's "True Compass," printed shortly after his death.

Palin, who abruptly resigned as Alaska governor over the American summer with more than a year left in her first term, has been an object of fascination and ridicule since being plucked from obscurity as Sen. John McCain's Republican running mate in the 2008 presidential race.

Although easily defeated by Democrat Barack Obama Palin remains a favourite among conservatives and is a rumoured contender for 2012.

Anyone going to be rushing out to buy it?
